National Museum of Scotland |
Yesterday as part of our independent study we took a trip to the National Museum of Scotland.
As a Glaswegian born and bred it was my first time going to this beautifully architectured building. As I walked into the grand hall the light flooded in through this beautifully structured glass roof. The white painted frame work which flowed all the way down to the floor opened up the space which allowed me to take a deep breath and take it all in.

Winde Rienstra bamboo shoe |
Next up we headed into the fashion design section where we looked at a wonderful collection of modern and inspiring pieces of art. Including this piece by Winde Rienstra who uses bamboo and zip-ties to create this unique pair of heals, its geometric
shape reminds me of an upside down city which adds to the urban and industrial vibe that's given off by the materials.

The camera on the left shows the development of this change and ironically as i took this picture with the smart phone on my camera it shows the advancement in technology.
